Memories & Candles
Please accept my deepest sympathy to the entire Kirk family. I understand and feel your pain.
Needless to say, I was shocked to learn of Jim's passing just today (4/13/12)
I had the privilage of getting to know Jim through business as we both supplied seating to Arby's.
For me, Jim was an honest, no-bull, straight shooter. I respected him for that and his perseverence to keep the business going as long as possible. Been there, done that.
You will be in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this hard time in your lives.

I only ever had the pleasure of meeting Jim once down at the lake at the Donatelli/ Kirk residence. Although I did not have the luxury of really getting to know him, he soon became the coolest person that I never got to know.
Jim loved the Indianapolis Colts and I share that same love. I will be forever grateful that I was able to live vicariously through him as a fan. He would text with Dale all the time and

I remember how you loved our girls Sheena & Stacey. You spoiled them & they remember that. Stacey told me a story of how you did Lego McDonald restaurant when she was 3 yrs old. I said how did you remember that? You made Sheena's day when you came for her wedding. I also remember when a friend of ours didn't think you were Larry's brother & you said to him wooden shoes, wooden head, wouldn't listen. (he was Dutch).

You are truly a great fiend and will be dearly missed. From your fist Notre Dame game to the different holidays and events we all spent together, you and your family will always be in our thoughts and prayers. We love you Jim and we will never forget you even if we are silly Americans. It is an honor to know you.

I remember one quiet Christmas Eve many winters ago, my sister Laurie and Jim came to visit. My children were young then and still eager for Santa Claus. I had given my son Devon a hockey net without a clue as to how I was going to put it together. Jim spent the entire evening down on the floor with Devon tying the net together, piece by piece he told Devon stories about his days playing hockey in B.C. The

I will always remember how touched and appreciative you were after receiving a pair of Grandpa Kirk's boxing gloves for your birthday. You will be greatly missed and will forever be in my thoughts and prayers. xoxo.
