Condolence & Memory Journal

To have met Barbara once was all it took to love her...

I shall never forget time spent in her gracious company on a trip or two shared with friends long ago in the Caribbean and other visits in Indianapolis.

She was a remarkable and most beautiful Lady in every possible way.

My sincerest heartfelt condolences to ALL who loved her and shared her always dynamic wit, charm and company.

It was a true honor to have been blessed to know her.

I was so saddened to hear of Barbara's passing. Barbara and her mother,Zola, were dear friends of my family. When Barbara would visit Buena Vista there would always be a get-together with her holding center court. Gary I am so sorry for your loss, you were so good for her.

Gary, you have my deepest sympathy. While I only recently met Barbara very briefly, I could tell what an amazing, strong, no nonsense lady she was. In an instant, I could tell that she was "my kind of person," and I regret that I didn't get a chance to know her better.

Some people come into our lives and touch us so deeplyMiss Barbara, with her sparkle, vim, vigour, wit, saucy, spicy storytelling, scotch (or was that Bourbon!) swilling, elegancetouched mine. She had a passion for life & there wasn't a moment shared that she didn't capture some part of my heart and call me to laugh, listen, and think, with bursting energies of spiritto push the boundaries of possible. I feel such gratitude that her life touched and graced mineGary, you were her rock and deep love, hold you head high knowing you have been loved by such an amazing woman, whose spirit will live within all of us. Love you, Cynthia

Gary~ Barbara was such a remarkable woman and a blessing for anyone that had the opportunity to meet her. She was my psuedo grandmother and I know my life would've been completely different without her and you in it. She will be deeply missed, but I know she is watching over us, keeping us safe. Stay strong and I hope the wonderful memories will help ease your pain.
Love,
Ashley
