Julia, What a wonderful video tribute. It appears you got your beauty, talent, intelligence and zest for life from your mom. She seemed liked someone I would have liked to have known. I'm sorry for your loss.

Mrs. Stroup was one of my favorite teachers. One couldn't have asked for a sweeter, kinder kindergarten teacher. Sincere sympathies to her family and friends.

I loved my Auntie Barb and have so many good memories of spending time with family in Knightstown and, later, with her in Indy when I was an adult. Much love to you all from our families.

I taught with Barbara in Knightstown and in the past few years my husband and I would see her at the symphony. We both really liked Barbara! She was such a warm, friendly, and caring person. We send you and your family our deepest sympathy.

Barbara, what a wonderful mother you were! Your daughter Julia is about the best person EVER! May you rest with the angels now, as the choir of angels has met you, they have sped you to paradise, and how wonderful to be enfolded in God's loving arms! To the family, I send my sincerest sympathies. Love, Mary Cluley

She was my kindergarten teacher! Mrs. Stroup. She was the sweetest lady. Hard to believe. I was in her class 1980-81. Such a great impact, remembering the fun I had in her class!

I am very sorry for your family's great loss. I will remember her fondly and as a wonderful kindergarten teacher. She discovered that I was an avid lip reader and that I couldn't hear much and had to break the news to my parents. I'm sure it was as much a shock to her as it was for them and thanks to her we were able to get the medical attention needed. I will always remember her sense of calm, her humor and the love she had for her students.

Bruce and Julia, I have such wonderful memories of your mother. She was always so full of laughter and opened her heart to everyone. I remember her hanging out with us girls and we all loved every minute of it. She also blessed us with words of wisdom. She never stopped sending me a Christmas card, even with my many moves. She will be missed but not forgotten. Her life was a treasure. Blessings and peace to you both as well as your sweet families. Love you!
