Condolence & Memory Journal

I only knew Jeanne as a manager for maybe 2 years early in my career. She was a truly formative mentor... tough, fair, and effective. Over 10 years later, her professional advice still matters to me. I use it and pay it forward often. Sincere condolences.

I worked with Jeanne on several projects throughout the years. She was that perfect blend of a tiger in business, who also remembered birthdays, and sent Christmas cards. She and Sally and I were on a few Stein Mart conference calls where our dogs were talking over us - as we all work from home.

Jeanne leaves a hole in SYF that will be next to impossible to fill, and a similar one in our hearts.

I've worked with Jeanne on many projects throughtout the years as part of the Business Intigration team for Accounting. She was always organized and driven to get it done. She will be truly missed at SYF. My heart and prayers go out to her family during this difficult time.

I was shocked & deeply saddened when I learned of your passing. You are one of the smartest, sweetest & toughest ladies that I know. I will never forget how every time I saw you I would say "JK when I grow up I wanna be just like you" you would laugh and say "Honey...No you don't!!" I appreciate your mentoring. You were a great were always available & gave solid advice. You always told me that I knew my stuff & made me feel valued despite the difference in our positions. I thank you for everything that you taught me & I will never forget you!!

I had the privilege of working with Jeanne while I was at GE. She was a positive, up-beat driver on her projects and programs; always organized and dedicated to excellence. My thoughts are with her family and friends.

My dear Jeanne- Your friendship of more than 20 years is one that I will cherish all my life. From our first meeting at Sears Credit through our collaboration at GE, and our longer distance, but always special conversations in the last few years, our connection has endured. I have long admired your focus, positive attitude, and deep understanding of life. I will keep you in my heart always. My thoughts and prayers are with Michael and your family.

Deeply sadden, I am honored to have worked with you, whether it be a "woo who" for hitting a milestone, or a question asked on a call "who is that speaking?" or that statement, "hold on a minute", your unique style and professionalism will be remembered as being our great leader and mentor. I will always remember your beautiful smile as u accepted the homemade "Buckeyes" from Ohio.

While I am sad , I have to say though that as I remember you Jeanne I can't do anything but smile, acceptance, kindness, generosity, compassion, caring - these are the words that come to mind when I think of you. Sadly I say to you," I will see you later Jeanne".

I worked with Jeanne on some projects while I was a First Data consultant. The Ohio State football song was something we talked about, since I rooted for the University of Nebraska. We had some fun discussions on the merits of both teams. I will miss her knowledge and great outlook on life.
