Susie, Mary, Linda and Judy,
I just want to say how sorry I am about your Mom, but at the same time joyful that she is together again with her soul-mate Gordon. I think you know how special your parents were to my family. My brothers and I considered Gordon and Juanita our second parents. Although it was never discussed we knew that had anything happened to our parents yours would have made sure we were well cared for - no questions asked. My very best childhood memories were of lazy days at the cottage on Lake James and Wawasee, (being rescued from the water by Mary after Linda pushed me in), learning to ski, and long monopoly and card games on the dock and porch. Later, we spent many happy Sundays at your home swimming with Gordon, the Giant Clam and sharing poetry with Juanita. Even though I couldn't write worth a lick, your Mom always offered lots of encouragement. The photos you posted are priceless and much appreciated. They surely capture Juanita's gentleness and shy sensitivity. Words fall short, but Juanita was a beautiful person and I mourn her with you.
Sincerely,
Dick Davis

I worked with Juanita at Wishard for many years. She loved her family and talked about her girls often. I have many fond memories of her. I am sorry for your loss.
