James Jerome Krupowicz of Zionsville, IN passed away March 14, 2013 after a hard-fought battle with renal cancer. He was born on February 2, 1957 to Jerome V. and Geraldine (Kestian) Krupowicz in Chicago, Illinois. Jim graduated from Plainfield (Illinois) High School and University of Illinois and received his MBA from Indiana University.

Jim married Debra M. Deeter on September 29, 1979. He was a project manager for Eli Lilly, where he was employed for 34 years.
Jim served the Zionsville community as a 12-year member of the Zionsville Community School Corporation Board of Trustees, and was twice its president. He was an active member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church in Westfield, where he was involved with the Confirmation Youth Ministry and various other church ministries. In whatever spare time Jim had, he liked nothing more than spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Jim is survived by his wife, Deb; his daughters Amber Witherbee, KimberLee Gummere (Robert), Janelle Hocutt (Zach), and Katelyn Krupowicz (Jason LaPaglia); eight grandchildren; his mother Geraldine Krupowicz; siblings Philip Krupowicz ( Donna), Rosanne Deardurff (Chris), William Krupowicz (Kathy), and Joanne Sebold (Terry); in-laws Walter and Ellen Deeter; and brothers-in-law Raymond Deeter (Nancy) and Clayton Deeter (Lee).

Visitation will be Monday, March 18, 2013 from 3 to 8 p.m., with a Rosary Service at 7:30 p.m. at Flanner and Buchanan Zionsville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 17104 Spring Mill Road, Westfield, IN 46074 on Tuesday, March 19th at 10 a.m., with calling from 9 a.m. until time of service.
