He was pre-deceased by his brothers, Ted, Gus, and Jimmy Demos and his sister, Angeline Demos Vrouvas. Leo cherished time with his extended family, generations of nephews, nieces and cousins. He was well known for capturing memories by being the cameraman throughout his life. Leo never missed an opportunity to replay his movies and show pictures to any audience. He was a humble yet wise man with an outflowing of compassion and enjoyed providing advice to all. Leo had many friends in his life. Leo treasured bonding with family and friends.

Leo was an IU Letterman in Cross Country in 1947 and 1948 and was an avid Indiana University fan. Leo often spoke of his University experience and the infamous Nick's Bar. Leo never missed an opportunity to encourage others to attend Indiana University and visit the legendary pictures of him as a young college track athlete. Leo graduated in 1948 with a BS. Business Degree. Leo worked for 23 years at A&P grocery as Advertising Manager responsible for approximately 100 stores. He worked at Stokely-Van Camp for approximately 15 years and was Director of Advertising, and enjoyed traveling the US and promoting Gatorade to various sports venues. After leaving Stokely-Van Camp, Leo was in a leadership role at American Federal National Bank. Leo kept busy during his retirement years by working part-time at the Indianapolis Ad-club until he permanently retired. Leo inspired many people with his mentoring skills. He rarely missed an opportunity to network with others and strike up new friendships. Leo spent his time attending and watching Colt games, and he was dedicated with his 3 day a week membership at the Lifetime gym where he spent as much time talking as he did working out. Leo was an optimist and enjoyed bringing up other people's spirits. Leo was an active member at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox church and especially enjoyed his experiences at the Greek Food Festivals.
