James Lawrence "Jim" Kirk 54, of Indianapolis and St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, passed away March 18, 2012. Jim was born on October 31, 1957 to Lawrence and Elmira Marie (Macallum) Kirk.

Jim was owner of Can-Am Specialties in Indianapolis, which specializes in cabinet making and woodworking.

Jim touched many lives with his larger than life personality. He never met a stranger and could make a community of special friends wherever he went. His unforgettable presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Elmira. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Laurie (Sherry) Kirk; step-children: Robert, Thomas and Kym Ferguson; siblings: Lynda Kirby, Dale (Kim) Kirk and Larry (Noreen) Kirk; his lifelong friend, Ed (Betty-Lou) Swanson; and many other family and friends.

A memorial service celebrating Jim's life has been planned in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada for Saturday March 31, at 1pm - 86 Royal Oak Dr. St. Catharines, ON., L2N 6K8.
