Billy H. Hughey 68, Indianapolis, passed away July 25, 2008. He was born September 17, 1939, in Whiteland, IN to Charles and Flossie (Beard) Hughey. Billy retired from Eli Lilly in 1994. He was an active member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church for 44 years. Billy loved his family and enjoyed traveling with his wife, Mary Ann. He was also an avid golfer. Billy was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Betty Napier and Ann Gum, and a brother, Phillip Hughey. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Ann (Wood) Hughey; children, Beth Tackett (husband, Hank), Tami Sahm (husband, Richard), Kathy Thein (husband, Roy), and Tina Fields (companion, Bob); six granddaughters, one grandson, six great-granddaughters, and one great-grandson; a sister, Sarah Hughey; and a brother, Henry Hughey. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, July 28 at 10 AM at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 4838 Fletcher Avenue. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 27 from 4-8 PM at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, and also on Monday from 9 am until service time at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Condolences may be shared with the Hughey Family online at www.flannerbuchanan.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to Legacy Funeral Center at Memorial Park.
