Charles M. Hoover 82, Indianapolis, died peacefully at home on Tuesday evening, December 11, 2007 after a long battle with cancer.

Charles was a United States Army veteran, serving in the Pacific during WWII. He was honorably discharged in 1955 after 12 years of service. While in the Army, he was trained as a radiologist. In 1988, he retired from Indiana University Hospital after 32 years as a Clinical Instructor of Radiology. He was a member of Brookside Masonic Lodge #720, University Heights Christian Church and the Scottish Rite. He enjoyed playing bridge and dearly loved to bowl.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Veola (Brown); his sons Warren (wife Sophie) and Howard (wife Pam) Hoover; sister Virginia Wells and 4 grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8pm on Saturday, December 15, at Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Center, 10722 E. Washington St. Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Sunday at the funeral center.

Entombment will take place at Washington Park East Cemetery.
