Marjorie Louise McHale 85, passed away last Saturday, December 24, 2005. Born January 14, 1920, in Clinton, Indiana, to Paris and Nellie (Wade) Hattabaugh, she became a resident of Indianapolis where she retired in 1985 from working in apartment management with the Sexton Company. She also was a longtime employee of Kipp Brothers earlier in her career. During World War II, she worked at Allison in Speedway. Marjorie was a member of Traders Point Christian Church and Order of Eastern Star, Lynhurst Chapter #505. She also was a volunteer for North Wayne Township Schools' Host Program, a reading program for second grade students. She is preceded in death by her brother Paris Hattabaugh and her husbands John R. "Ted" Fendley and Robert J. McHale. She is survived by her daughter Mrs. Pat Norman and husband Chuck Norman, Sr., and by her son Mike Fendley and his wife Linda. Her ten grandchildren include Tamara Root, Simone Spiegel, Walt Justus, Babette Justus, Kristin Okeley, Michael Fendley, Vickie Norman, Joey Ferguson, Chuck Norman, Jr., and Shelli Alter. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren: Justin and Derrek Root, Samantha and Sabrina Spiegel, Jillian and Guy Justus, Evan and Sara Okeley, Ashley and Drew Ferguson, Charlie Norman, and Max and Jack Alter. Marjorie spent her last days in the Ruth Lilly Hospice Yellow Rose Unit of Methodist Hospital. The family wants to thank all the nurses, doctors, and staff members of that unit for their expertise and their compassionate care in her final days. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, at Flanner and Buchanan Mortuary in Zionsville, Indiana. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 28, at 11:00 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment will be at Washington Park East cemetery immediately following the services. Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Children's Hospital, Make-a-Wish Foundation, and The Ruth Lilly Hospice Yellow Rose Unit of Methodist Hospital.
